Police Foil Kidnap Attempt on Joss Stone

Soul singer Joss Stone was reportedly the target of a suspected kidnap-murder plot that police were able to stop on Tuesday.

Police arrested two males near Stone’s East Devon, England, home after the singer’s neighbors tipped off the authorities. The 24-year-old singer’s neighbors in the village of Cullompton called police after noticing a “suspicious-looking vehicle” in the neighborhood. Police responded to the area and arrested the two suspects, who were caught in possession of swords, rope, a body bag, as well as a detailed map and photographs of Stone’s house.

On Wednesday, Stone said in a statement that she is not letting the incident affect her and will let police do their work. “I’d like to thank everyone for their concern but I’m absolutely fine and getting on with life as normal while the police continue with their inquiries,” said Stone, who was reportedly not at home when the two men were arrested.
